Why did jesus save me...a storyThat i hope will bless you

The story is told about a man who had a pet pig. The man always kept the pig smoothly brushed, with a ribbon around its neck. The pig would follow the mam wherever, he went. What a very strange pet! One day the man was taking a trip across the ocean in a big boat and was walking around the boat with his pig behind him. Somehow, the pig managed to crawl through the railing and fall into the ocean. The man who owned the pig rushed up to the captain and said, " Oh, my pig, my pig, my pig has fallen overboard! Stop the ship! My pig will drown." The captain of the great ship laughed at the man."We cannot stop this ship for a pig,"he said. "If it were a man who fell overboard would you stop the ship?" asked the man who owned the pig. "Yes, of course," said the captain. The man who owned the pig ran over to the edge of the ship and jumped into the ocean and the great ship had to be stopped and turned around and both the man and the pig were brought back into the ship. Wasn't that a rather foolish thing to do, to risk one's life for a pig?

But do you remember that Jesus gave His life for us and we are worse than pigs- we are sinners? Jesus went down into the ocean of sin where we were lifted us out and gave us to God, who is the Captain of the ship. God gladly took us and made His children. Now we are saved sinners and have been changed into sons and daughters of God. Now all the angels as well as Satan and his evil friends can see how wonderful God's love is! It is so wonderful that it was able to take us even though we are sinners, worse than pigs, and give us new hearts that love the Lord Jesus. All of the angels in heaven are now praising God for what He has done for you. They are glad because you love Jesus. Sometimes when people grow flowers, they have a contest to see who can grow the prettiest ones. Do you know that if you belong to the Lord Jesus you are now a beautiful flower in His garden? You are not a pig. Now Jesus can bring the angels into His garden and show you to them as an example of how kind and great and good God is! Of Course, we are not talking about a real garden and real flowers, but we are talking about how much Jesus loves you and how He has changed your heart. It is too bad that we are not yet all that God wants us to be. If you look at one another we can tell that we still do many wrong things, and our lives are not very pretty. But God likes to think of us as we will be after we die, and when He looks down and sees us, He is able to see that we are forgiven and that we will be beautiful flowers in His garden some day. I don't mean that you are going to be turned into a flower. Thinking of pigs and beautiful flowers may help us to realize how much God has done for us and is going to do.
