GROUNDED

When to Disconnect

Have you been sidelined in your life by some mistake you’ve made? Have you let sin or shame discourage you? Do you feel like you’ve messed up so terribly, God could never use you?

Don’t let your feelings overshadow God’s truth. He is big enough to forgive you, restore you, and use you to restore others. First John 1:9 teaches, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Once you’ve confessed and turned from your sins, you are cleansed—but God doesn’t purify you and empower you with His Spirit just to make you feel good. He does so to equip you to help others. Whether one person or many, the power of God’s Spirit at work in you truly does change lives. He is big enough to transform your heart and forgive you for the mistakes you’ve made. And He is big enough to help you rise from the discouragements of your past to influence the lives of others—all for His glory.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9, NASB).

this is soo true... I have been there and know that once you just confess them and don't turn back to them God empowers you with the holy spirit, which helps you develop the fruit of the spirits (galatians 5:22-23) One mistake i did was allowing satan to make me feel pity and guilt for pass indiscretions and trying to repay the debt back when all i had to do was confess the sin. Let it go and give it to god, do not try and make everything work out and the other person happy... stick to God's plan for your life... it might not be strife free but in the end the reward is worth every minute of pain and persecution you face on this earth!

This is so sobering... I always feel like maybe I have messed up to much, and after im on the floor crying, I realize its all lies from the enemy... GOD CAN.WILL, & IS USING US(=

we should always remember that the enemy's job is to STEAL, KILL and DESTROY....so when we sinned against man and of course from God.. the devil will STEAL us away from God's care, KILL the joy we have being God's sons and daughters, and DESTROY our lives and God's plans for us.
Let us confess our sins and believe that God forgives; GENUINE REPENTANCE will bridge the gap(from man to God)that was caused by our detestable actions.
