This is wrong

i have been baptized and i was going to church regulary on sundays and wednesdays. well i had a friend through the church that was mentoring me and helping me learn more. he then decided to up and tell me that i was evil and i was disturbing his peace. and since then i have quit attending church and i feel bad about my spirituality now.

I had something somewhat similar happen with a close friend where I was going though a really hard time and was struggling with God and everything. so one day I opened up about it at my youth group so my "friend" called me the next day and started asking me all these questions I couldn't answer a the time because I was questioning everything I believed and was very confused.. so he ended up saying in different words that I would go to hell if I didn't answer the questions the correct way.. not the best thing to someone who is already confused! lol so I ended up leaving that church but in the process I found a wonderful church where people are nicer! I believe finding God and your faith is a journey we all have to go though and once u have gone though it u will feel very close to God.. please don't let this person make u second guess ur spirituality or anything about urself! do what u feel is right! and surround urself with good people!

Your relationship with god is the only thing that matterts in this whole situation. Don't let somebody bring you down like that. It sounds like he has some things that he needs to deal with in his spirituality. Don't let someone get between you and god. go back to church and keep learning to strengthen your relationship with him. Maybe you will teach something to this guy. God bless?)

Comment by Nicolas Manriquez on February 23, 2010 at 12:14pm: That's too bad for him, because he probably lost a good friend. It's never easy when people we trust turn on us, or people who trust us. It can be hard when we are trying to live right and get our life together, then people put us down because we are not yet where they think we should be.

What always helps me, when I feel this way, is singing to myself an old song this old missionary sang to me a while back. The lyrics are:
Me and Jesus got are own thing goin'
Me and Jesus got it all worked out
Me and Jesus got are own thing goin'
We don't need no body to tell us what it's all about.
