Get Plugged In: Connect With Your Heavenly Father

Have you ever stopped to think about what God thinks of you? Have you ever wondered if He approves of how you’re living your life? Or have you ever questioned, “Does God even like me at all?”

For many, it may be hard to understand how a heavenly Father can love you unconditionally when so many earthly fathers place strict conditions on the love they give.

But the truth is, there’s nothing you can do to win God’s love. He likes you just the way you are because He created you to be just the way you are. His approval of you isn’t based on anything you’ve done or will ever do. He approves of you because you stand forgiven before Him, having accepted Christ as your Savior and receiving His gift of forgiveness. This is what makes you totally acceptable to Him.

Yes, God does love you. He even likes you. And it’s only after you’ve truly accepted and experienced the total, unconditional, abundant love of God that you can say with all honesty, “Yes, God likes me. He approves of me. And even though I make a million mistakes everyday, He forgives me and loves me still—simply for who I am found to be in Him.”

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16, NASB).

There are times when i feel like i'm not worth; times when i feel like I just messed up everything; and times that I know I just couldn't do enough... There was even a time when i said, "God is mad at me and He was surely disappointed with what I've done.." Then I thought, God never expects us to be perfect and He loves us the way we are.. We are just humans and we would never be perfect.. The best thing that we could do is to give Him back the glory and love Him to the extent.. :) i love you Jesus and I would never be afraid to declare my love for You my Savior..

Comment by jeremy sanford on January 15, 2010 at 11:06am: It can be hard some times to believe GOD truly loves us unconditionally. because sometimes satan can really bug you with the idea that GOD doesn't love you but GOD blesses you in ways to prove that he does every day he gives you food he gives you the stuff to wear every day and he even makes sure you have a means of transportation and most people dont see it that way because these things we take as our parents bought that or the factory made it but the truth is GOD gave man the knowledge to make them and not only that but GOD will show you his love and affection if you truly get down on your knees and begin to praise him for every thing he has done and given you.

But God's love and His grace are truly more than enough for any person to ask for. It's a good thing that we can't fully grasp the concept of a perfect God i think because otherwise He wouldn't be God, or at least not a very big one.
