"Purity" by Dillon Jackson

Matthew 5:8 (NKJV) "Blessed are the poor in heart, for they shall see God."

This is one of the beatitudes Jesus taught His disciples during His Sermon on the Mount. The first awesome thing about this verse is that ‘beatitude’ is defined as “supreme blessedness or happiness” as the word ‘blessed’ literally means ‘happy’! How wonderful is this? Jesus was teaching His disciples the meaning of supreme happiness and thankfully, Matthew recorded this teaching so that we too can learn from the Lord.

The world, on the other hand, offers you and me a different message. It says, “truth is relative, and who cares about purity anyway? Happy are those who are young, rich, attractive, and famous. And who cares about seeing God, anyway?”

The question is who do you believe, the enemy or the Lord Jesus Christ? The Bible also says regarding purity in Psalm 24:3-5, “Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the LORD,”.

If you’re like me, you might be thinking, “My hands are filthy, my heart is definitely not pure, I have lifted up my soul to many idols, and have sworn deceitfully many times.” Thank the Lord, though, God sent Jesus to wash us from our sin and make us pure. (Revelation 1:5). Receive this free gift from the Lord, ask in Jesus’ name to be cleansed from your sin and made pure. Then, with all that you are resist the enemy and value your purity in Christ. Seek the Lord and ask for the strength and maturity to live in purity, remembering that though we fail, it is ultimately Jesus Christ who makes us pure! Let us be the generation spoken about in psalm 24!

PRAISE GOD, i love this

"Let us be the generation spoken about in psalm 24"

so true, which makes me think about (Ecclesiastes 12:1) remembering God in our youth (forgive me for going off hear .lol)
the world today has this stigma that once you become a youth you become unruly and out of control, and i just think that the devil has masked it that way, because your youth is prime time for you to do [SO MUCH] for God. I could go on, because i just feel so passionate about Christian youths really living for God, especially now in their youth . . . but anyway Praise God! :), you could read His word 10 times and get something new out of it each time . .

great devo.
God Bless

And the reward for being pure in heart... to SEE GOD. Wow. That is huge.
