hey im good i guess well lets see im majorly short lol i live on a farm and work on the farm as well im a senior in high skwl i plan on going into the med field im random and hyper love to help ppl and talk alot lol i have the most amazing family and friends wouldnt trade them for the world haha well i guess thats bout it lol
I hired a plumber to help me restore an old farmhouse, and after he had just finished a rough first day on the job, a flat tyre made him lose an hour of work, his electric drill quit and his ancient one-ton truck refused to start. While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence.
On arriving he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked towards the front door, he paused briefly at a tree, touching the tips of the tree. When opening the door he underwent an amazing transformation.
His tanned face was wreathed in smiles and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss. Afterward he walked me to the car. We passed the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier.
Oh, that's my trouble tree," he replied. "I know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing's for sure, those troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and the children. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home and ask God to take care of them. Then in the morning I pick them up again. "Funny thing is," he smiled, "when I come out in the morning to pick them up, there aren't nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before."
well iam a firefighter, i am also in my schools Marine Corp. Junior ROTC program as a cadet First Sgt. which is pretty fun um i am my church drummer and percussionist they pretty much go hand in hand lol um and i like to help people well corection i like to watch the Lord help people through me; Lord knows i didn't do anything and thats really about it iam about to graduate this summer and thinking about being an Army officer by going to wentworth or marion and get my commision in two years then i'm off to serve my country.
yea i do completly and i really enjoy charles stanley we watch him every sunday morning before we go to church, and no matter what he says your right their is always scripture to back it up so you know he isn't just telling us about his own experiences and giving himself all of the praise instead he constantly reminds us that we are all sinners saved by grace and thats what i really like a preacher that knows where he comes from and who he serves and knows who put him in that spot.
a pastor thats cool but please make sure its what God wants and not you i noticed a lot of "called to preach" people say they are and when you listen to them preach have nothing in common with the bible at all and it makes me mad. And long walks i can use one of those lol
Glad to hear your holidays were nice =)
Let's hope that 2010 is better for you....and that God leads you and grows you.
I'm sorry to hear about your relationship with your dad. I can't quite relate because my dad and I are so similar personality wise... but my mom and I sometimes clash, but I know she's always holding my best interest at heart.
Hey =)
I'm doing really well!! Just had my last day of work on the 31st now I'm getting ready to head off to college. I seriously don't know where the past few months have gone! Time just flies!
How are you? Did you have a nice Christmas/New Years?
I think we all have those moments when we feel inadequate. You just have to push forward ya know? Don't let your accomplishments or lack there of define you. I totally get what you're saying about wanting to be used by God. Just keep that mentality--- allow yourself to be open to different possibilities. He will lead you. Plus Matt you are only 18, there is so much life ahead of you yet. So much to learn. Although I'm only 19, I clearly remember how my senior year and start of college was so defining for me. It was a time of change and growth. Just remember you are gonna move forward, we never stay in one place for long. =)
