I believe God will give me what I REALLY want and not what I thought I want :-)

My wife and I have been married nearly 3 years. During this time we have seen how marriage most closely exemplifies Christ's relationship with us: His church and what a high calling husbands have to love our wives as Christ does the church.

Just new here...hello!! ^_^ I'll be getting married tomorrow... a simple and solemn event with my closest... I feel excited and at the same time nervous...but I fully trust the Lord to do His will in this next chapter in my life! I know that this group will be a great source of support and encouragement for me as a soon-to-be married woman! God bless everyone here! ^_^

IT HAS BEEN 3 MONTHS ALMOST 4 MONTHS FROM SINCE I HAVE LAST SEEN MY HUSBAND. HE IS CURRENTLY IN SCHOOL WITHIN HE UNITED STATES AND I AM PRESENTLY IN THE BAHAMAS. I AM THANKFUL TO GOD FOR THS SEASON I CALL A PERIOD OF CELEBACY. I AM THANKFUL FOR THE DEEPER RELATIONSHIP I WAS ABLE TO HAVE WITH GOD ALSO THE RELATIONSHIPS I WAS ABLE TO NUTURE AND THE RELATIONSHIP BETWWEN MY HUSBAND AND I HAS GROWN TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL. ME AND MY HUSBAND EXPERIENCED MORE INTIMACY THAN WE HAVE EVER BEFORE WITH EACH OTHER. I HAVE COME TO UNDERSTAND EVEN MORE THAT TRUE INTIMACY IS FOUND IN THE OPEN LINE OF COMMUNICATION BETWEEN A HUSBAND AND A WIFE, WHICH IS DIRECTED BY GOD. IT'S IMPORTANT THAT WE ALL HAVE A DOWN TO EARTH LEVEL COMMUNICATION AND UNDERSTANDING ABOUT EACH OTHER THAT WILL MAKE ANY MARRIAGE STRONGER. BE SURE TO USE GODLY WISDOM AND ALSO SEEK GODLY ADVICE FROM HIS WORD AND FROM THOSE THAT SEEK AFTER GOD. IF ONE WERE TO COME AND OFFER SOUND WISDOM DON'T BLOCK IT OUT, BECAUSE MAYBE IT MAY COME FROM AN UNLIKELY SOURCE. REMEMBER GOD USED A DONKEY TO SPEAK WORDS OF WISDO TO A MAN. NEVER THE LESS BE BLESSED IN YOUR MARRIAGES, LIFE AND ALL YOUR ENDEAVOURS THAT GOD HAS PLACED IN YOUR LIVES.

Hi everyone! I just joined Grounded! My husband and I have been married for a little over 5 months! We are enjoying it so much! He is in the navy and although that can be very tough we are trusting that God is going to do great things with it. And He has!

it is crucial.. thatwe as wives be as submissive as much as we could. note that if your husband is asking you to do something against the will of God, you aren't obligated to do it because you are first God's Child, then a wife. if he is instructing you to do something that may not be against the will of God, there are many ways that one can bring it across to them, yet at some times you have to respect their choices whether you believe it is right or not. Try not to be judgmental and remember to speak the truth in love.

Hello to all the members of this group! Engaged and newlyweds, you are embarked on a wonderful life that God has set before you with the love of your life, your soulmate, your best friend, your companion, your lover. Thier were reasons that God put you together. You will face life together as one, you will grow together in the Lord, you will face the challenges of life together. Be kind, be patient with one another, read God's Word together, pray together, and never go to bed angry... God Bless you all, my wife and I look forward to becoming friends with all of you!

Ok, so I have a question... in the Bible, it talks about submission to your husband... how far does that go? I mean, when you feel strongly that something isn't really wrong, but its not sensible, is it up to the wife to still follow her husband? I've been struggling with this lately. Thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated!
