Hello all I am going to graduate from college in a year and two months with my bachelor's degree in nursing and it just seems like a frightening thing. So much uncertainity as far as where do I work, live and so forth. Any advice?

A New Year Prayer

Holy Father,

God of our yesterdays, our today, and our tomorrows.

We praise You for Your unequaled greatness.

Thank You for the year behind us and for the year ahead.

Help us in Your new year, Father, to fret less and laugh more.

To teach our children to laugh by laughing with them.

To teach others to love by loving them.

Knowing, when Love came to the stable in Bethlehem, He came for us.

So that Love could be with us, and we could know You.

That we could share Love with others.

Help us, Father, to hear Your love song in every sunrise,

in the chriping of sparrows in our backyards,

in the stories of our old folks, and the fantasies of our children.

Help us to stop and listen to Your love songs,

so that we may know You better and better.

We rejoice in the world You loved into being.

Thank You for another new year and for new chances every day.

We pray for peace, for light, and for hope, that we might spread them to others.

Forgive us for falling short this past year.

We leave the irreparable past in your hands, and step out into the unknown new year knowing You will go with us.

We accept Your gift of a new year and we rejoice in what's ahead, depending on You to help us do exactly what You want..

I say it again, we rejoice!

In Jesus name,

Amen.

HELLO BROTHERS AND SISTERS!!! Nice to see a lot of Christian friends around here! Please help me be connected to other friends there in your country. I look forward to working with you, I'm from the Philippines and actively involved in a newly established Youth Organization here in San Fabian, Pangasinan. Me and my Pastor would like to open this to everyone who has the heart of volunteerism. The purpose of this group is very simple, and that is to actualize the timeless creed which is "PROCLAIMING THE GOSPEL OF JESUS QUICKLY, CLEARLY AND IRRESISTIBLY." There's always more to do, and that's why we need a teamwork that works for everyone. For more details, please feel free to contact me at +63921-411-4162 or add me up at davep8888@yahoo.com so that we can chat through yahoo messenger. Godbless you and your family!!!

Joseph, I just finished praying for you :o) It's great that you went into Nursing! What a tremendous blessing you'll be to so many. My dad just got his first pair of scrubs, today--so proud of him :o) He decided to follow his heart and change his career to nursing just a few months ago. One of his main reasons is the same as yours--he has a passion to help people.

Wow, Damaris. The way God answered your prayer is just awesome. (happy for you). Reading both of your comments was refreshing. And I love the statement you made, "try to be intentional with what God wants you to do not what you can do....remembering God wastes nothing."

Joseph,
Nursing...wow I prayed that I could breastfeed my son; I did not know how being a 1st time mom. After the lactation consultant came in the room and "taught" me all the "rules" I was still getting frustrated...until the Lord sent this nurse she came in and asked how I was doing I just began to cry, "I just want to feed my baby" she took my son and latched him to my breast. I was crying with joy...she walked away and when I asked for her name to thank her...no one knew who I was talking about. She was a Nurse....sent by God to answer my prayer.

I found when reading the word feels like I am just reading it to read...I realize that that idea is only a feeling...that I should dismiss, here is why: There have been times where I am talking to someone and out comes this wisdom and knowledge and I wonder where is this coming from and sure enough...our spirit and mind is being fed even if it does not feel like it is. Just put it in and when the time comes the Spirit of God knows exactly where to retrieve it to bless, exhort, encourage and minister. Remembering our spirit does not rest so as our bodies/mind are taking a break or on vacation we are still feeding our spirit the food it need to work under the power...

Which leads to the relationship part...Getting the word to work in your life... Our flesh is what keeps us from doing the will of God. From my experience and from the experiences others have shared…fasting and praying in the spirit and tongues was key, I was able to clearly recognize God’s voice, get into his presence with no fight, powerful praying and healing. As my friend advised me pray to be one with the Lord, watch things happen…

Hello everybody, i am kinda new this two. Its has taken me two years to finally figure out what i wanted to do in life. I have a passion to help people and have decided to go into Nursing. God has provided all of my needs. He provides the funds for me to go to school and the knowlege to be able to pass the classes..I think God everyday for the blessings he has blessed me with in life. I am now trying to draw closer to him. i just want to love him more and read his word and have a more intimate relationship with Jesus. Somtimes I feel like I am not doing enought and i sometimes feel that i am reading his word just to read it but i want to chg the way i do things. i just ask that you pray for me. I want my relationship with God to be a loving realtionship. If you could give me advice, i would appericate it. thanks and God bless.
