find a new outlet, i see you have a guitar so use your music to channel whatever feelings you use to put into the things that would hurt you. music helps me calm down but it's not a definite cure. Christ is. pray and look up more scriptures if you need guidance

How do i keep myself from focusing on things that hurt me and slow down my growth?

It was said that we must be baptized by Water and the Holy Spirit. I was trying to get the truth based on the Word. Is baptism by the Holy Spirit always manifested in tongues? I am beginning to believe this more and more and i'm basing it on scripture plus church elders. Secondly, is the born-again experience, which Jesus spoke of, a supernatural event which we should feel something special/unearthly or just the mere fact/statement that we are giving up our old ways and living a new life serving Christ? I have my own beliefs on these i just want to see what others think. Thanks Family!!

yeah,,,sometimes I want to give up because of sin in my thoughts but I know my heart is longing for God...I just need to be patient Coz I know God will answer my prayer..you think God is testing my faith? or maybe I just reap what I've sown..it's really hard.

I still have lot of questions in my heart, but only God knows the answer. Though it seems unright to question God. and sometimes it's really hard to figure out some of our problems why it does happens,,and this and so... I just leave everything to God.

Hey Abigail...God isn't interested in what denomination u are! He just cares about u and wants to be the lover of your heart. There is no perfect Christian! Paul said in 1 Corinthians 11:1 that we should follow him as he follows Christ, so there is no one 'perfect' christian, yet. Growing up in Christ comprises of different experiences! Christ has made u clean from sin so even when u go astray and are sincerely repentant...He still forgives u. Read 1 John 3:19-21. God doesn't c u as a misfit...so don't see yourself as one. Even though the Christian life seems monotonous and boring, fr now...always seek out God. In the tough times, close your eyes and be real with God (tell Him exactly how u feel!). There's a lot more to say...i just wonder how we could chat better?

Hey Shineya! I believe the word adamant means to be set in opinions and not easily influenced to other opinions. Such a person must have had definitive experiences which may have either been extremely painful or pleasurable (as applies to the situation) to form convictions in his/her heart. You cannot of your own self heal...only God does that but you could be the instrument to soothe during the healing process. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4.The best u can do is pray...the worst u can do is to handle it on your own.

An adamant heart can only be healed by God. Ask Him to guide and lead you.
