GROUNDED

How do you handle rejection when you share Christ? I've been rejected a couple times for sharing Christ and it hurts, but I know that I'll be rewarded by God. That's why I love him!

I would love to hear what you have to say. Thanks=)

I know how you feel. I shared Christ with one of my close friends. I wasn't just rejected, she made it sound like I was a bad person because she thought I was judging her for her beliefs. I wasn't judging her at all. She simply said her god was different from my God. That really confuses me cuz she claims to be a christian.

Anne: Maybe, you should ask her to define her definition of her Christian faith. Then you two can go to the bible together and discuss. In proverbs it says "as iron sharpen iron, so a friend sharpens a friend." Maybe that will bring you two back together as friends again.

Anne.

This is what really makes me want to yell! When you tell someone the truth, they call it judging, when you allow someone to believe a lie they call it acceptance. When someone says "stop judging me" that is when you know that the Spirit of the LORD is there. Because who else but the LORD has the power to judge.

Hey Anne, I went through a similar experience a couple of nights ago with a close friend. She got offended after I suggested that she joined this site. However, my other friend recommend that I just pray about it and have more patience. It is concerning though when Christians believe they have different Gods. I hope your friend will see through the veil soon if she has not already. Alison x

Thanks. Atleast I'm glad that I'm not alone=). My prayer is that God gives me new friends that also love the lord and that my old ones will turn to God. I've made another friend just recently and God isn't giving me a break, like right throughout the day he doesn't fail to remind me that I need to tell her about God. AHHH, rejection ain't cool, but I'm still gonna have to do it.

Thanks. That's so true, they won't forget. It's like sowing a seed. and praying to God to let it grow.

I do not like when people reject the Good news. Depending on the person, I will handle it in different ways. I often pray that God touches the person heart.

thanks guys for all your encouragement=). And Taniere, I know what you mean. I also hate when people draw the judgment card when they feel convicted by the Good News. It is best to find an approach in which they convict themselves by their own mouth. Maybe ask them questions about whether or not they have broken the law of God but never demanding answers so in that way they can only blame themselves for feeling guilty. Therefore they judge themselves. Then present the way to be forgiven of breaking the law and being covered with grace which is through Jesus Christ. I heard about that approach on tv.
