pray about it 1st, but i think it would be good for you to tell them. Just say it! Explain to them why it is wrong.

I understand what you mean! I used to work with people that didn't understand me and they were grown adults. The fact that you were able to say something at the lunch table is awesome. Just keep praying about it and if people are really your friends they will watch what they say around you. And remember....dont worry if you sounded too preachy...at the end of the day we stand before God not man! And he'd be happy you spoke up :)

Pray, and ask the Lord to send Christian friends your way.

YOu can't make anybody ever do anything they don't want to do. Knowing that only thing you can do is give them a nudge in the right direction :)

Idk how we should react to it, but something that I might say would be "can you plz not use those words" and add "they're offensive to me" or "I love God and they offend me", sometimes I ask people about what God has to do with that situation, but I probably should be more serious about it, cuz God is the Lord of all.
I've heard people were serious in these kind of situations, they'd say something like "Hey, don't use my God's name in vain"
God bless you..

maybe you could reply, `well i don`t believe in your god`.

and then use the 10 commandments as way to start to share the gospel

It is sad when we come face to face with small-minded people. I recommend that you pray about it first, then look to the bible...Proverbs 10 is always good. Then when you hear it said again...just take that individual aside and ask them to please be respectful of the fact that although he/she may not be "religious", he or she is in a group that includes Christians and it would be great if they could not say the term so often and around you. It might sound harsh but if the person is mature enough, he or she might stop. :-) Blessings. Alison

I agree with you, but because this type of short hand is so common it's hard not to fall into the easiness of shortening phrases into a few letters.

I don't think there is a way of stopping them. Especially if they are not Christians. If they are, take them aside (this is key) and tell them that you do not appreciate it and wish they would stop. If It keeps happening ask a youth paster or spiritual leader to go with you and again request that they stop. If it continues, it then is out of your hands, you will have done all you can.

hope this helps <3
